Annual Report 2018-19

In the year 2018-19, Visan Foundation conducted the following three programs which yielded excellent results of training with 100% placement:

  • Live Life Like Tarishi Foundation – 32 Nos
  • Hotel Hilton Support Batch – 69 Nos
  • Honda Two wheeler India CSR Initiative – 90 Nos

The details of our above programs for 2018-19 are as follows:

Live Life Like Tarishi Foundation

Live Life Like Tarishi (LLLT) Foundation was started by parents of Tarishi in her memory who passed away on 1st July 2016.

The LLLT Foundation supported and funded a batch of Tribal BPL youth of North East Region through Visan Foundation. The training and placement ended on 1st July 2018 dedicated to the young girl who lived a short but meaningful life passionate for the underprivileged section of society.

32 students were trained under this project. The training was for the job role of Food & Beverage Service Steward NSQF Level 4. It was a residential program for 2 months with 8 hours of training per day. Government assessment was conducted and all of our trained students it cleared with flying colours.

Hilton Support Batch for North East Youth

A total of 69 North East Tribal BPL youth were trained with support of International Hotel Chain namely Hilton Group, which assisted students in terms of academic inputs, hotel visits and special classes leading to placement in the hotels.

Alongwith regular classroom sessions and practical training, extra curricular activities were conducted which included Industrial and Hotel visits, Hilton Global week of service, Barista Coffee Session, as well as organising Food Festival.

The students trained for the Food & Beverage Service Steward job role NSQF level 4. All the students successfully passed the govt assessment.

Honda Two-wheeler India CSR Initiative

Honda Two Wheeler India signed an MoU with Visan Foundation to train 90 underprivileged youth from North Eastern states.

The training, conducted from September 2018 to December 2019, was for the job role of Food & Beverage Service Steward NSQF level 4.

Activities of Extempore, Group Discussion, Quiz competitions, Team Building, Self Inttroduction, Enersizer were conducted to enhance their skils in hospitality. Regular competitions were conducted, and prizes were given to encourage students who showed improvement in their F&B skills.

As part of the orientation, the students were given a group assignment to Experience First Hand the operations of the Hospitality Industry. They presented project report and did a presentation in the class.

After successful completion of the training, the students were placed in top Hotels and Restaurants including EazyDiner (Gurgaon), ITC Grand (Goa), The Untitled Hotel & Resort (Goa), The Westin (Gurgaon), The Westin Hotel Resort & Spa (Sohna), Old World Hospitality, ITC Maratha (Mumbai), The Taj Palace (New Delhi), The Pullman (New Delhi) and many others.
