Annual Report 2021-22

The unprecedented Covid pandemic paralysed the entire world since March 2020, and the second wave too created chaos in 2021. The rising cases created panic and helplessness in the society. Lockdowns caused economic, social, and mental issues due to the rise in the cases and crumbling health care facilities, and the resulting loss of jobs.

Unfortunately, most families have a sordid story of covid pandemic which has invaded almost every household. At such crucial times families need to pick up their lives and get employment and livelihoods back to sustain the families.

At this juncture, Visan Foundation decided to address this much-needed agenda by focussing on Employment Linked Skill Development Programs in the Healthcare and Hospitality Sectors with unemployed youth drawn from the most under-developed region of our country – the North Eastern states, as well as from other parts of the country.

Visan Foundation conducted Skill Development Programs which yielded excellent results of 100% placement with more than 10% getting placed internationally.

With partnerships and support from United Way of Delhi, Honda India Foundation and Rotary Club for the programs, it was a very fulfilling experience to train tribal BPL youth and transform their lives to a better and definitely a brighter future.

A brief overview of our programs for 2021-22 is as follows:
